I'm assuming we've all seen the premiere by now, and I personally thought It was pretty epic. It's a nice way to start off a new season, neatly tying up last seasons cliffhangers.
Also, It was right in the feels, much emotion.

The premiere was over way too soon. It ended and I was ready for the second episode to start but I have to wait until Thursday.

That's the worst part of being into a show that's currently running, waiting for the next episode.
I personally like the Thursday thing for this season. It breaks up my week, since the only other show I watch is The Walking Dead on Sundays.

I agree, the Thursday schedule fits me perfectly. I get all my shows a day late, but that means that I get Vikings on Friday, Banshee on Saturday and Black Sails on Sunday.
